Mexican Hot Chocolate Oatmeal



            Last week, as I was freezing and getting bored of my boring oatmeal routine, I noticed a pack of instant hot cocoa mix on my shelf. “Why not make a breakfast dish that is hot cocoa and oatmeal?” I thought to myself, “Maybe it will keep me doubly warm.” Here is the brain child of that idea:

Servings: Makes 2

Ingredients:
1 single serving pack dark chocolate hot cocoa mix
1 cup plain oats
2 cups water
2 medium pears, finely chopped
1 tbsp cayenne pepper
2 tsp nutmeg
2 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
1.      Combine all ingredients into a small saucepan. Bring water to boil and let simmer until oatmeal becomes thick. Stir.
2.      Serve and enjoy!
